Whaaat????Hate is such a strong word. Hate it,hate it,hate....Its 5am and I am contemplating whether I should go to the gym or not? I drag myself out of bed,hardly remember what I just dreamt about cos my mind is flooding with excuses to not go. Is it the flu,period pains,runny nose,stomach cramps or maybe salient hypochondriac tendencies cos isnt it that experts say you become what you believe.
Ya well,the truth is I have to wake up and go cos sadly there are people waiting for me for a 5h30 class. Eishhh..A lot of instructors go through these motions all the time,wanting to just be excused cos they are tired,too tired to even lift a finger. Training can be exhausting sometimes and then we develop words like hate this,hate that while all you need isi to just rest.
As for normal gym goers,u are allowed to hate the gym and love the sauna,but that comes along with waist rolls,thunder thighs,chubby feet,wobbly characters all over the body. And you dont want that huh. I have seen a lot of gifted ladies(in terms of the above wobblies)sitting in the steamroom and talking about losing weight if you sit in there for hours. Not sure who they fooling cos it aint me.
Ladies imma break it down: Training is a mindset,gym is a lifestyle,no one is saying go home and eat cardboard food,start small by swapping your breakfast with a healthier one,get a different type of bread, try it out,use olive oil with ur eggs,substitute your cereal for oats until u get used to it. then do lunch and later on supper. It will make such a difference in your body in terms of mind-sharpness,fatique and health. The other thing I know is if you feel like you dont want to train and you still go,it wont make that much of a difference cos u working out againt what your heart wills. So gear up every morning and after work,look forward to training and get it done. The mind is such a powerful thing,use it to tune into your day..DONT FORCE ANYTHING,cos frankly there wont be any results.
